In-Year Admissions

If you would like to apply for a place at Dene Magna School outside of the standard Year 7 transition period, please follow the process below.

How to Apply: Please complete our In-Year Admissions form. Once completed, please return this to the school office. Hard copies of this form are available upon request from the school.

The Process: Upon receipt of an in-year application, the school will notify parents/carers of the outcome in writing within 10 school days (and no later than 15 school days).

Appeals and Waiting Lists: If a place is not available, your child’s name can be added to our waiting list according to our oversubscription criteria. If your application is refused, you have a statutory right of appeal. Details on how to appeal will be provided in the refusal letter.

Note: We notify the GCC In-Year Team of every application and its outcome to support local authority place-tracking.
