Hello everyone, welcome to your own private area of our website.  This 'hub' is dedicated to supporting you through the next few months as you complete your GCSE courses and start to prepare for A Levels.

Making the leap from Year 11 into Sixth Form can be challenging in lots of different ways.  The way in which you are expected to study and the type of work that you do can be very different - for most of you that difference will be a very welcome change, but it can still come as a surprise to some.  It's also a completely different experience being at DM Sixth Form, something that is unique to us.  We are both a school and a college all wrapped up in one, so you get much more independence than if you were to stay at a school. Once you've applied to us, you'll get lots of support over the coming months to help you in your transition.

Once you've completed your application form, we'll start sending you information about the enrolment process.   I'll be writing to you all after the February half-term to give you a more personal update on your application and then later to invite you in for some taster sessions. 

In the meantime, check in to the subject areas to find out more about the subjects we offer.  Take care to look at the contents of the courses and do note the entrance requirements for certain subjects. Remember, your place won't be confirmed until you receive your results in August - so work to your very best for your GCSEs!   Once you've finished your GCSE exams we'll be providing you with some projects and bridging work to help you get prepared for higher study, so keep checking into the hub for updates.
