Sexual exploitation affects thousands of children and young people across the UK every year.

The GSCB, in partnership with the Gloucestershire CSE Team, have produced a leaflet for parents.

Parents and carers could have an important role to play in protecting children from exploitation, helping to

cut them free from this horrific form of child abuse.

Please visit and share the link widely with any professional, parent, guardian or carer who may need information, advice and guidance on CSE.

Online Safety

We take online safety seriously at Dene Magna and recognise it can be daunting to keep up to date with threats and tips to avoid problems online. The links below are to external sites that can give you some useful information about how to stay safe as a student or parent using the Internet.

"The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre is dedicated to eradicating the sexual abuse of children. That means we are part of UK policing and very much about tracking and bringing offenders to account, either directly or in partnership with local and international forces." You can also report concerns and abuse and will find a button to CEOP on most social networking sites, as well as in instant messaging and other interactive software.
Safer Internet has lots of information whether you're a student, a parent or carer, or a member of staff.

The videos below are highlighted to help you as a parent or carer or student to think about you and your child's safety when using the Internet. We hope you find them a useful starting point and we will be adding more information shortly, so check back again soon.

Reporting Youtube Videos

CEOP have recently released a set of videos called Know where to go.

Know where to go is an ongoing series of short instruction videos intended to demonstrate to young people how they can protect themselves on popular websites.

The videos are available on the CEOP Youtube channel.
