The Dene Magna English department are dedicated to providing as many out of classroom opportunities to broaden the knowledge and experiences of our students.  As a result, we run a range of trips and events throughout the year which accompany the English curriculum for all year groups.  Trips include:

• Residential trip to London visiting top attractions such as Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studios, The Globe Theatre, The London Eye and The West End.
• Day trip to the Imperial War Museum where students can add context to their study of War Poetry and Novels.
• Various theatre trips including Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Blood Brothers.
• Day trip to The Cheltenham Literature Festival
• Various author visits and writing workshops within school.
