Stress Management

To understand what Stress is and what causes Stress in young people.
Understand the difference types of stress and how it affects us emotionally and physically eg. Sleeping problems, weight loss/gain, anxiety, self harm.
Look at possible coping mechanisms eg. Yoga, massage, sport, counselling, Mindfulness.
Different levels of Stress can be beneficial.
To gain better understanding of feelings and emotions and how to deal with them.To be aware of the support networks available, school/college, local and national.
Understand how to be mindful
To enable an individual to have better self-esteem, confidence and self-worth.
Appreciate we have many choices to help us deal with our emotional and wellbeing, suicide is one but it is FINAL.

Show how to plan considering factors such as;Organising taxis, Money – use of ATM, losing purse, wallet, Phone, Ensuring people aware of your plans, Trouble shooting and contingency plans, Alcohol, Drugs, Drink spiking.

To recognise bullying and abuse in all its forms (including prejudice-based bullying both in person and online/via text, exploitation and trafficking)
Look at all issues around bullying – from both victim and bully perspective
Try to understand why it happens and what we can to avoid it. How we deal with bullying – what should we do
Consider the feelings of victims
Look at how a whole school can tackle bullying behaviour
Look at the skills and strategies needed to manage being targeted or witnessing others being targeted
